Hello Everyone! I figured it was about time for a update. You guys probably check this every 3 months so you catch at least 2 posts at once right. I don't seem to post here more than once a month anymore. I have good intentions, but also have 3 very active boys these days. :0) The taking care of 3 active boys often trumps blog posting time. Haha!
So where shall we start? Let go with Alex this time. Alex has been a silly little guy lately. He's talking up a storm these days. Not really sentences just spits out new words left and right. Last night we were in the car talking about spaghetti for example and he starts saying Spaghetti over and over in the back seat. We got home and they played for a while. Neil and I cleaned up and ate dinner which happened to be homemade pizza and Alex gets his and is like "Oh Spaghetti" were like "No pizza" he kept saying spaghetti. He was finished and walking around still doing the same, and then he's like "Oh pizza" and walks off like he finally got it. LOL!! I tried to get video of him saying it because its super cute but once the camera came on he didn't want to talk anymore. Another thing he's doing is sound effects when he plays. He will play Star Wars with his Daddy or Aiden and as soon as he picks up his light saber he starts making the whirring sound the light saber makes when on. It's hilarious. The thing is twice as tall as he is. I tried to get that on video too but I was just attacked with the light saber for my efforts. Anyway Alex is great and turning more into a little boy every day. Oh his favorite toys are cars. The other boys liked him but NOTHING like the way Alex does.
Chase - where to start with Chase?! Chase is good, still getting into mischief as usual. But maybe a bit less. When I think about it maybe not. He's growing like a weed and he's talking a little more too. Again not sentences but more words here and there. Alex talks more than he does but Chase's words are a little clearer. I remind myself Chase has only been hearing 10 months. Alex has been hearing well 16 so yeah there's a difference. Chase is still very much into Blues Clues and Trains. He still loves canned carrots more than any other food, and doesn't eat sweets. He loves going to church and playing. He goes about 3 times a week for 1-2 hours at a time and has a blast. He has a good knack for losing his right shoe also. He lost one, so I got him a 2nd pair as a backup. The day I found the first one he lost he lost his new shoe. We have yet to find the new right shoe. He lost it at church and I am sure he just shoved it some random odd place. What else. Chase is really watching and imitating Aiden these days. If he sees Aiden sitting or doing something he studies him for a second them tries to copy it. I often find them laying on the floor playing in the same position or Chase trying to jump off the couch just like Aiden did. (Constantly battling that couches are for sitting on, not jumping off of). Chase is doing somersaults and standing on his head watching TV between his legs alot these days. He continues to be my creative, most "unique" child and we love him for it.
Aiden -- Aiden always has alot going on. He's in school of course and we LOVE his teacher. She's awesome. Aiden comes home and is beaming after school and can't wait to tell us what happened at school each day. It's great!!! His teachers name is Mrs. Jones. She has this whole gingerbread man theme they do. A couple weeks ago they made a gingerbread man and put him in the play oven then went out to recess while the kids were in recess someone opened the oven took the gingerbread man, and left crumbs and clues for them. You know the whole story about the gingerbread man who ran away and all that... well that's basically where her theme starts and now the gingerbread man comes back and leaves things for them when they aren't looking in their mailbox. It's a really neat concept. Everything they do is centered around the gingerbread man mostly. Like they brought home papers they were practicing cutting in a straight line on. You start with an animal and cut on the line to the gingerbread man like your the animal chasing him. It's all really cute stuff. A very well thought out theme. The first day though Aiden tells me the story and is sooooooooooooo excited about it. After he goes through the story he says to me "But mom how did the gingerbread man come alive?" I am trying to think of something fast as he's very into the story and I don't want to tell him it was just a story when obviously they were going to use it. What person wants to tell a kid Santa isn't real... it would have been the same to him had I told him the gingerbread man isn't real or something... Anyway while I am thinking he says "Well Mom I know how" I was like, "Okay how?" He says "God made him real" -- you know cuz that's what God does he makes gingerbread men come to life and run away. It was soooo cute though.
Besides school Aiden just started soccer. It's going pretty well. He still runs around the field not watching the ball but more excited about everyone running in a pack. Towards the end of the game he got a few good kicks in. So hopefully it will get better. He's cute no matter what playing though. Alot of people he knows are on the team as well so that's always fun.
Aiden is also really into learning about the planets. The best thing we got him for his birthday has turned out to be the $10 planet set we hung from the ceiling. He loooooves going to bed and turning out the lights and talking to Neil about the planets in the dark (they glow). He knows that Pluto is now a dwarf planet and all that, and all kinds of cool information. Just recently his Grandpa Archibald was talking to him about dinosaurs and Aiden says yeah then asteroids came out of the sky and hit the earth and killed all the dinosaurs. LOL!! He asked Neil what would happen if the sun went "supernova"? Neil told him that the planets would probably explode... Aiden says "All the planets but earth" and Neil is like "Why not Earth?" Aiden thinks about it and says "Because God would protect earth." It's alot of fun talking to Aiden these days and really hearing how he thinks things work and all of that. He's a very smart special little boy.
Neil and I are GREAT as usual. Busy as always with the kids and work for Neil. He's got some big projects coming up so he's been working ALOT of hours. The overtime has been nice but we're looking forward to the holidays. Around Thanksgiving things should settle down some. Cmoooon Thanksgiving!! ;0) My store, church stuff, friends are all keeping me very busy on top of the usual stuff.
Well I hope this note finds everyone well and happy!! See ya next month - hahaha!!!
